Selector, drummer, promoter, label boss and general all round nice guy. Whether he is performing under his Disco alias of CONAN THE SELECTOR or as one half of electronic act ARCADE 82 or even if he is dropping House Classics as MARK PICKUP you can be sure he will have a massive smile under that beard and so will everyone on the dance floor.
He has recently shared the stage with such industry heavy weights as Dimitri From Paris, Joris Voorn, Art Department, Sasha, Miguel Campbell, Basement Jaxx, David Morales, Maceo Plex, Crazy P, Pete Tong, Soul II Soul, Yousef, Roger Sanchez, Groove Armada, 2ManyDJs, James Zabielia, The Script, Brand New Heavies, to name a small few.

No stranger to the festival scene he closed Faithless's last ever international gig in front of 15,000 people on the Sandance beach at Atlantis Hotel on the Palm Dubai, played main stage at Creamfields Abu Dhabi before The Prodigy and has closed for Jamiroquai in front of 12,000 people.

He has been fortunate to have played his music in Las Vegas, Miami, Ibiza, Paris, Madrid, Los Angeles, Mauritius, India, Russia and all over the Middle East and the UK.

Mark is also part of electronic act ARCADE 82, they are signed to Toolroom, D-Vine, TRAX, King Street NY, Sleazy Deep, Night Vibes, Spirit Soul Records, Deepalma to name a very small few. They opened for The Chemical Brothers at the Abu Dhabi F1 post race concert at the Du Arena infront of 18,000 people and then went on to do a tour of Russia straight after it. In the summer of 2017 they were honoured to have been asked to play at the legendary Cafe Del Mar in Ibiza and did an amazing live sunset gig there. Mark has just re-launched Arcade 82 with a new band member in Nick Hussey, the live vocals have been replaced with a keyboard player to accompany Marks live electronic drum playing and they now have a fresher deeper sound.

Mark is also co-label boss and A&R of Hot Gorilla Records, a joint project with his long time musical buddy Andy Buchan, they have charted dozens of times, had 7 Top 10 releases and several No.1s including a No.1 debut compilation album in 2022. They have den several live streams on JUNOs socials during lockdown and they have had some very credible remixers on board including Fingerman, Monsieur Van Pratt, Chewy Rubs, Cuz Electric, Toby O'Connor to name a small few and support from Greg Wilson, Derek Kaye, Craig Charles, PBR Streetgang to name a small few.
Hot Gorilla Records recently went on tour as the official warm up act for The Brand New Heavies, they played up and down the country supporting the band across a 3 months period.
